The Staatsoper is undergoing refurbishment, which means that all of its operas are taking place at the smaller Schiller Theatre. Such a beautiful building! I know that the restoration is very important, but I want to see an opera in the actual Staatsoper! *wails*
On the candy-colored boards surrounding the construction site are lots of adds for the upcoming shows. I like this one best (it makes me laugh):

oh heavens! A German sixties Cosi - will be hilarious - maybe not for all the right reasons......
Saw a ballet at the Staatsoper soon after the Wall came down - you'll love it when it re-opens......
Marion's website is the Unofficial which you know - it's run, as I discovered only a week ago, by Marion Tung.
The pricing of Oberon on Amazon is very weird - I had seen it at £75, (GB sterling), which seemed crazy, and then I got it weeks later for £20. Yesterday it was priced at £49 - heaven knows why it keeps changing.
Re. the Stockholm interview - am a bit concerned about JK's leanings towards Hollywood - has he been spending too much time at New York parties being schmoozed by moguls? - surely he realises that in that mincing machine he would have no private life at all Ever Again, and that his children would have no private life either, and probably become Insane - just call me Cassandra.....
Today Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria arrived - I love Monteverdi anyway - but La Kasarova is gorgeous as Penelope, and Henschel as Ulisse is so good and sympathetic, and there is a particularly rivetting Telemacho............... Have to admit I fast-forwarded some of the antics of the deities - will go back to them later.............
@shapta-dakini: I may have to go see this Cosi, just for laughs. It looks awesome.
I can't decide if I think Kaufmann was serious about Hollywood, or if he was joking. In any case, I don't think he would do it. He's said before that he prefers to stay in Europe and not spend extended amounts of time in America-which I can completely understand. But I can't tell for sure, because the whole interview was a little weird. He came off as really stressed about his upcoming surgery, as though his mind wasn't really present for the gala and interview. And as much as I love reading his anecdotes about life with his kids, I really wouldn't want them to be subjected to Hollywood.
You ought to start a blog up, to discuss all these recordings! That would be cool. :)
