Happily, after this week I will have a nice long holiday. Tomorrow and Friday are my Deutsch exams, and then I am DONE for six weeks. I may actually get to do some traveling, which would be fabulous. Spain appears to be a distinct possibility.
I've also been querying agents incessantly, and last week got one extremely rude review, to the effect that the opera Fidelio is so boring that she can't imagine how the novel would be any better, or that there would even be an audience. That was a confidence killer, but I'm pressing on in spite of it.
So yes, I'm around, but mostly on Twitter this week. Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday!

Good luck with the exams, not that you'll need it but the luck is there anyways.
I recommend going to Barcelona on your trip (not really Spain, it's in Catalonia), beautiful place to visit.
You'll get published- JK Rowling was turned down 29 times with Harry Potter, so we can assume that agents don't know anything.
Christie - enjoy the travelling. If you have any money left and can get to London in June you may like to have one of my tickets for Jonas at the Wigmore Hall on Sunday 10 June. (Lieder). Can't help with accommodation I'm afraid.......
I would be happy for you to be my guest at this concert. Have decided that the ticket will be wasted on any of my mates - like giving champagne and caviar to the family dog....The one I took to his recital at the Festival Hall couldn't even remember Jonas' name the other day.......even the musical ones aren't into voice. Anyway, if you can be in London let me know....Least I can do for being a gauche virgin commenter on your blog, and as a thank you for your entertainment value......
@Peter: I'm not as good at languages as I am at other subjects, but the first round of my exams went quite well today. Fingers crossed! And I'm sure I'll find an agent SOMEDAY. Fingers crossed!!
@Shapta-dakini: Ooooh, that sounds FABULOUS! I'll definitely see if I can swing London in June, as I sadly missed Kaufmann's performance here last week. And where have you been? I've been wondering. Didn't you get to see him live in Munich last month?
Don Carlo in Munich -totally wonderful. Was high for a week. Anja Harteros and Rene Pape were also stunning - a special night. 20 minutes' applause - we didn't want to let them go.
And the Liederabend in Graz last week - also fabulous....... I took notes, but too much to write here! He was bewitching (but not always perfect), and Helmut was a magician too. 30 minutes of Zugaben to an audience that was on its feet between each song. The guy is on a roll........
Would be great if you could make London. I am also going to Birmingham in 10 days' time - he is doing some Mahler and Strauss with Andris Nelsons.
