Truly, this city has some of the most awesome signage. I've taken to carrying my camera around lately, because beauties like the following just seem to appear out of nowhere.

Basic Translation: "Mozart...or Beethoven? Which composer wrote only one opera but nine symphonies? This, and two hundred other questions are in your daily copy of Die Zeit [a local newspaper]."

Note: this is the sign for the Wotan Apotheke. Apparently, their products are fit for the Norse gods. I wonder if they play Wagner inside? I would.

These are indeed excellent signs. Wagner might be thematically appropriate for a Wotan Apotheke, but I don't usually think of it as restful. Maybe just the "Goldene Aepfel wachsen in ihrem Garten" phrase repeatedly?
@Lucy: Or maybe a constant loop of "Wintersturme wichen dem Wonnemond". Who knows, the Wagner might actually make people grin.
in the Nymphenburg area of Munich where I stayed for Don Carlo in January I walked down Wotanstrasse each day, and there is Valhallastr, Brunhildestr., Hundingstr., and Frickastr. Didn't see a strasse for Siegmund or Sieglinde........
I also passed various witches and strange-eyed men at the stage-door after the show - can't blame JK one bit for feeling he has had enough of them......He gives so much anyway.....
WHEN is his next recording coming out, and what? It's been too long......
Happy Easter!
