This is what I listen to to make myself move like a mad moving thing in the morning:
(It's also a ridiculous, nerdy amount of fun to ride up escalators with the section from 1:23-1:50 blaring on your iPod. Try it sometime.)
For the next month I will be in a certification course that will enable me to be able to work as an English teacher in Germany. Finally. I've only been trying to convince the Job Center that I need this certification for like a year now. It's a lot of fun (especially when you're a writer girl who loves playing with words), but it's time consuming to the point where I probably won't be around that much these next few weeks. I'll try to keep up the weekly posting, but I make no guarantees. It's not really the kind of course that I can tell a lot of anecdotes about. We'll see if it gets funnier.
But for now, here, have my other favorite Motivational Morning Music:

rats, rats, rats. Spend all week looking forward to a live broadcast from the Met of Die Walkuere on the Radio, with the Remarkable One. And it isn't................ I switched on during the overture, so don't know who is actually singing Siegmund - but he has just brayed his way through Wintersturme - and seems to be getting increasingly tired........back to the CD...........
It won't stop raining in the UK, just needed some sunshine.....!
As for that film-trailer in the boxing ring - pretty meaningless all round, and doesn't do JK any favours either.......
Oh, and good luck with the certification course. Hope they pay lots of money once you start teaching........
And be careful on those escalators..............
@shapta-dakini: Whew, I can finally get to answering you now! What a couple of weeks it's been. The tenor who replaced JK was Eva Maria Westbroek's husband, which was cool. Called upon literally the night before the performance. Poor guy.
Here's my sheepish question, since I'm terrible at emailing: are you still willing to give me that Wigmore Hall ticket? Because I'm trying to see if I can convince my parents to help me get over to London, but I'm still not sure if I can afford it.
