I've loved this carol since childhood, when I would beg for us to sing it in church-in July. I love it in English, I love it in French, I love it in German. And needless to say, I love this arrangement of it. :)

o gioia! - of course - it's gorgeous! I've also been been watching a konzert he did in Munchen (www.youtube.com/watch?v=wasv7yvIH8A) - it's in five parts, and the sound quality is fantastic. (palamede92 JK Munich, if the link doesn't work....) It's interesting to see and hear how much he had grown in power and stability in the 2 years or so between the Dresden and Munich gigs ('08 and '10) .
Can't get to see Faust on MetLive - schade...... but 'Salut, demeure.......' is on his Romantic disc. ( With a wonderful quiet high C at the end, Financial Times critic please note......... )
